This is Jay! I love that he is working his fanny off and is even willing to go as far as to dance on the street. The lady who works in the corner office of the building took this of him and posted it on youtube. About a week later she told him about it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE laughing this hard!
Check our my boy!

Jay!!!
JAY!!
Oh wow. I can't wait to get my arms around him. He is doing so good and I am so proud of him. He's working little jobs here and there and a bit frustrated with the system. But, he comes from good stock, and has our family foundation, he's a go getter and he is making some very smart choices. Like I said, we couldn't be more proud of who is is becoming. We just keep giving him good support and sending good energy to keep him on the right track. WE LOVE YOU JAY!
Jay likes to dance on the corner dressed as a Genie. Makes good money though :) He is taking his driving test next week and will soon be a licensed driver. Besides, I think he looks great in green!

Northern Lights
Last night Taylor came over and stayed with me. I was feeling a little lonely and blue between the crap going on at work and missing my girl so much! He and Brad were very sweet to me last night and it made me realize how much happier we all are and everyone of us has something to look forward too. Two years ago Melissa walked into my life and it has never been, nor ever will be the same. She became my best friend almost instantly and helped me work through alot. I did not know then the impact she would really have on my life, and my heart. I love her more deeply then I ever have, and for the first time in my life I know what happiness is suppose to be about....like the REAL thing! Look out world, here we come.
At about 11:30-11:34 last night, Tay came in and woke me up with sheer excitement in his voice. MOM! YOU GOTTA SEE THIS! I'm in a t-shirt and a pair of shorts (yeah, it warmed up to 30 yesterday!! I KNOW, RIGHT!) anyway...I throw on my robe and step outside with him. The Northern Lights were dancing all around us. The view from our driveway is similar to the picture below. I just don't have a fancy camera to capture it so I "borrowed" this one :)....the fantastic thing about it all...is that magic light shimmering across the sky...the feeling and energy you get from it will take your breath away. The ironic thing, is it was almost March 10th and the beginning of yet another year...and many many more. I love You Melissa. Happy Anniversary.

Hooka, Humus and Flatbread...huh?
So the other day Im driving home and called Melissa. She was on an adventure with some suits and I was curious to see what she had been up to. Well, I asked her where she was and she said "You are never going to believe where I am and what Im doing!" Being the curious fae I am, I was dying to know so after a few giggles she said she was sitting in a Persian restaurant, eating humus and flatbread, smoking a hooka with strawberry and apple...ummm...tabacco (?) Idk..shrugs...anyway she sent me a picture when she got back to her hotel, the scene played out in my mind and I laughed even harder. My sweet Melissa is on quite the adventure, but I miss her and its time to come home. We have our own adventures to start!!
She said it was 3ft tall!!! Craziness!

Spring Time In Alaska
My sister was posting pictures the other day of the snow storm that blew through Utah. Well, sister, I love you, but I think I got you beat on this one. The wind has been blowing with gusts up to 95mph. The skies are crystal clear, so you know what that means? Brrrr...freakin...brrrrrr! I didn't leave the house at all yesterday for fear of being blown away! I stepped outside just a few times, but was greeted with a shower of blowing, icy snow.
Not one inch of snow fell over the past few days, but I had bigger drifts in my yard then I have seen all year. It hasn't calmed down at all today either
This little snow drift was just from the wind!
What I woke up to through our bedroom window.
I believe I'm dreaming of green grass, warm weather and sweet smelling flowers. Lower 48 here we come!!!

A Little of This....a Little of That
So I gotta get the hang of this. Brenda, you do such an awesome job on yours! I'm a bit motivated now to start taking pictures again! I love you all and miss you like crazy.
This is called an Inukshuk...an inukshuk is a pile of stones built to look like a person. In the North where there are herds of caribou, inukshuks were built in semi-circles. The natives would then chase the caribou into the semi circle. The caribou were made to think that they were surrounded by people. The natives were then able to corral them and take them for their food storage. Nowadays, there are herds of reindeer and caribou that are basically corraled by four-wheelers. They don't harvest reindeer so much for their meat as they do their horns. They saw off their horns ever fall (don't worry, they grow back quite fast) and grind them up into powder. There is a huge market for it in Asia as they believe the reindeer holds special powers. They also believe the same about the Northern lights and will dedicate their lives to have the opportunity to dance under them even for one night.
Ever Kissed a moose on its nose? I have :)
